How to Use
Use this app to create labeled ukulele chords that you can export and paste into song sheets as needed. Note — this works best on a desktop or laptop computer, the export feature isn't supported on iPads or phones. If using on an iPad you can do a screen capture and crop it — it just isn't as simple.
Type any chord name you like into the input box. Note that chord names must be entered manually — this program does not "know" how the fretboard dots relate to the chords. You need to position the dots and name the chord yourself.
The four "position dots" sliders are used to position the dots on the strings. The strings are labeled GCEA by default, but this can be used to create chords in any tuning — high G, low G, ADF♯B, baritone, or any four-string tuning. Use the sliders above each string if you want to add an "X" (for a string not to be played) or an "O" (to denote an open string).
If you want the notes for each string to be shown beneath the string, use the checkboxes labeled "GCEA", "ADF#B", or "DGBE" (baritone tuning).
Use the "barre" slider to create a bar going across all the strings. Use the "1st" slider to show chords farther up the fretboard where the top fret is not the first fret. The nut is shown as thicker than the frets only when the starting fret is the first fret.
Position dots can be shown in various colors. Alternatively, fingering numbers can be added to the dots. You can also add colors to the strings if desired.
Click Export to export a transparent PNG file of the chord which will download to your downloads folder. The file name will be the same as the chord name. This image can be pasted into a lyric sheet and resized to fit your needs. Since it is a transparent PNG, any empty space in the image will not cover the text in your song sheet.
